Happily Surveys is fully compliant with Thailand's Personal Data Protection Act (PDPA), GDPR, CCPA, and other international data protection regulations. We maintain the highest standards of data privacy and security.

Information We Collect

We collect information you provide directly to us, including: account information (name, email, organization details), survey content you create, and survey responses from your employees.

We automatically collect certain information when you use our platform, including: device information, log data, usage patterns, and cookies for session management.

How We Use Your Information

We use the information we collect to: provide, maintain, and improve our services; process and complete transactions; send technical notices and support messages; respond to your comments and questions.

Anonymized data for benchmarking & research: By using this platform, you agree that we may use fully anonymized, aggregated survey data for industry benchmarking and research purposes. All personal identifiers are permanently removed—individual responses can never be traced back to any person or organization.

This anonymized data powers industry benchmarks that help organizations compare their engagement scores against similar companies. The research advances the field of employee engagement, benefiting all users.

Survey Response Privacy

Survey responses are treated with the highest level of confidentiality. Individual responses are never shared with the survey creator in a way that could identify the respondent.

Results are only displayed when there are at least 5 responses per demographic group to prevent identification. Respondents can choose to remain completely anonymous.

Data Security

We implement industry-standard security measures to protect your data, including: encryption in transit (TLS 1.3) and at rest (AES-256), regular security audits, access controls, and monitoring.

Our infrastructure is hosted on secure, SOC 2 compliant cloud providers. We conduct regular penetration testing and vulnerability assessments.

Data Sharing

We do not sell your personal information. We may share information with: service providers who assist in our operations, professional advisors, and law enforcement when required by law.

Anonymized, aggregated data may be shared in research publications or industry reports. This data cannot be used to identify any individual or organization.

Data Retention

We retain your account information for as long as your account is active. Survey data is retained according to your organization's preferences and applicable legal requirements.

Upon account deletion, we remove identifiable data within 30 days. Anonymized data used for research may be retained indefinitely.

Your Rights Under PDPA & Other Regulations

Under PDPA (Thailand): You have the right to access, correct, delete, restrict processing of, and obtain a copy of your personal data. You may withdraw consent at any time and lodge complaints with the Personal Data Protection Committee.

Under GDPR (EU): You also have the right to data portability, object to automated decision-making, and lodge complaints with supervisory authorities.

Under CCPA (California): You have the right to know what data is collected, request deletion, and opt-out of sales (though we do not sell personal data).

Data Deletion

You can request deletion of your account and associated data at any time through your account settings or by contacting our support team.

We will process deletion requests within 30 days. Some data may be retained for legal compliance or legitimate business purposes, but will be minimized and protected.

We may update this Privacy Policy from time to time. We will notify you of any material changes by posting the new policy on this page and updating the "Last updated" date.

For significant changes, we will provide additional notice via email or through the platform. Continued use after changes constitutes acceptance.
